August 2026: The house from the air

Early in 2026 Island House Restoration Ltd commissioned Heneb to analyse everything the excavations had turned up. Reports on the small finds, the pottery, the clay pipes and the environmental samples are now being written.

On 3 and 17 August 2026 a drone survey photographed the whole site: the house under restoration, the open excavation beside it and the castle wall beyond. The photographs now run through this website, and they were used to build a 3D model of the house and its ground.
